Within 200Km from Broome, or 100Km from Derby, you will find your base camp resting amongst a remarkable Kimberley wilderness setting, with the mighty Fitzroy River at your doorstep, fresh mineral springs surrounding your camp base and an amazing array of fauna and fauna as your backdrop.

The vast and striking coloured landscape of the Kimberley desert provides a backdrop to the tours. With its barren and desolate terrain, the desert country offers a perfect place to teach Indigenous survival techniques and instil an awareness of the needs for sustainability of natural resources.
The banks of the Fitzroy River are in abundance of wildlife ranging from finches to storks and pelicans, crocodiles, barramundi, cherabin. The fauna is spectacular and as ancient as the dinosaurs. The ancient Devonian reef has fossils identified as three hundred and fifty million years old which occurred during the formation of the rest of the Kimberley coast. Tunnels, ranges and caves thread through the reef offering a magnificent area to explore.
Bush tucker is still in abundance and widely sought after following traditional hunting and gathering ways.
There are thermal springs to relax in, galleries of cave paintings to view and gorges carved over many millions of years.
There are pristine year round swimming conditions. Fishing, oystering and crabbing is excellent year round. The Kimberley coast offers great tidal changes. At low tides the reef is exposed and there is an opportunity to explore the wonders of coral and marine life including turtles, stingrays and a variety of reef fish. The area is rich in unique fauna and flora specific to the Kimberley coast. This includes a wide range of Aboriginal bush tucker, bush medicine plants and a large variety of bird-life.
Tunnel Creek-Windjana Gorge Discovery
The magnificent Windjana Gorge offers the opportunity for a leisurely walk through a classic world geology feature, also a great place to spot fresh water crocs and explore ancient cave art. Tunnel creek offers the opportunity for a cool walk through a 750m cavern through the Napier range, part of the 350 million year old Devonian Reef System where you are bound to see bats along the way to a refreshing billabong swim and explore some rock art.

Fitzroy River Fishing Adventure
The mighty Fitzroy River is a wild and pristine river offering awesome fishing opportunities ranging from taking your chance at the salt water estuary at the mouth of the King Sound to the deep fresh water pools as the river meanders its way across the West Kimberley . Try your hand at catchingthe elusive Barramundi in pristine waters with a guide that knows the best of locations in all situations.

Your drive takes you along the King Leopold Ranges with its breathtaking scenery. Escape to some majestic waterfalls, crystal clear pools and lush remnant rainforests. The tour offers the opportunity to embark on some bush walking and rock climbing or to explore and swim in the cool waters of the gorges. This 600Km round trip requires a minimum three days.

Bungle-Bungles Journey ( Purnululu National Park )
Visit this astonishing lost world formed over the last 20 million years. The 55Km drive off the Great Northern Highway between Halls Creek and Kununurra provides a breathtaking experience within itself with winding roads, creek crossings and a beautiful display of Kimberley fauna and flora.
Take the time to explore wonderful sites from within the park including the famous Cathedral Gorge, Piccaninny Creek and Echidna Chasm. To ensure your safety and comfort needs are well met, this 1800km journey requires seven days to complete as a round trip from the Oongkalkada Wilderness Camp to The Purnululu National Park and back.

Kimberley Pastoral Station Visit
Drive through open range bull paddocks and stop to hear some yarns of one of the Kimberley 's first industries - the pastoral industry. Hear first hand about the Aboriginal contribution to the industry. Visit an old out camp and see how the outback stockman lived on the stations of old. Take an outing to a working cattle station and see how the beef cattle industry has emerged over the years.

Unlicensed Highway Explorer
Travel along the back roads of the Kimberley following the tracks that link the Fitzroy River communities from the Edgar to Erskine Ranges. This is an unexplored track that has been utilised by the local Kimberley people for many years. It predates the Great Northern Highway and is the last frontier for four wheel drive enthusiasts who want to avoid the well worn tourist roads and get a feel for the real Kimberley.
This tour requires a minimum three days travelling from the Oongkalkada Wilderness Camp to Fitzroy Crossing on a 1000Km off-road round trip.

Aboriginal Rock Art Expedition
Discover these fragile artistic creations that have survived the times and portray messages from Aboriginal ancestors of long ago. From Ancient galleries, Wandjinas to Gyorn Gyorn visit some astonishing sites and encounter remarkable accounts of history in an appropriate and reverent way that will give you the opportunity to fully appreciate the significance of these remarkable paintings.
